Jike (aka Jason Angola) crafts music that ignites dancefloors and taps into global rhythms. With a history of releases on renowned labels like Wonderwheel, Good For You, Lion1music, and Pulver as DJ Angola, Jike has been a sought-after name for remixes, collaborating with respected labels such as Wahwah 45s, CR2, and Nylon Trax. His own tracks have been reimagined by talents like Jay Dee, Eli Escobar, Sam Young, and Quantic.

After years of holding residencies in legendary NYC spots—APT, Marquee, and Bungalow 8—and co-hosting a beloved Brooklyn Friday night party with Antibalas Afrobeat Orchestra, Jason became a fixture in both New York and London’s music scenes, frequently playing clubs like Boujis, Jazz Cafe, and The Box.

A versatile musician, Jason plays all instruments on his latest track, “Lo lo lo.” Known for his bass work in post-punk bands, he now calls Austin, TX, home and is pouring his energy into his debut LP. Expect more exciting new music to come under the Jike alias soon.

“Lo lo lo” translates to “Go go go!” in Yoruba, and with the compelling vocals of Jay Singer, it’s an anthem to live boldly and joyfully. Inspired by the vibrant sounds of London’s Notting Hill Carnival, Jike’s music channels the eclectic, high-energy spirit of diverse sound systems playing block after block.
